Chilled Water Networks

MACE Qatar is a leader in the installation of pre-insulated GRP chilled water pipe systems. MACE provides a complete service of engineering, installation, testing and commissioning as well as operation and maintenance service if required. MACE Qatar executed most of the pre-insulated GRP chilled water networks now built in Qatar.

District cooling is expanding in the Gulf Area due to its substantial savings in power consumption. Cool water supplied to residential and commercial buildings, residential complexes, hospitals and even villas is gradually becoming a utility supplied to customers like electricity, water and gas. Chilled water networks usually consist of shallow pre-insulated carbon steel or GRP pipes laid in open cut trenches together with associated structures like valve chambers, heat exchange chambers, air valve chambers and washout chambers, including valves and fittings. Chilled water networks are generally provided with leak detection systems connected to the Building Management System to monitor and detect any leakages for proper future maintenance.

Marafeq Qatar approves MACE Qatar for installing welded carbon steel district cooling networks and has successfully executed several such networks in Lusail and other areas.
